I have a head stuck in my ribcage!

My baby's head is stuck in my rib cage for 2 days now - and they seem quite comfortable there. I can tell it's the head b/c I am getting kicked down below and I can actually feel the head when I press down. I'm only 28 weeks so I can imagine this is gonna get much worse!!!! Any recommendations for getting this baby to change position? I wish I could go back to them laying transverse but they may be getting too big for that....

I had that my whole last part of my pregnancy. It hurts, I know it! There were times I would be walking along and grab my husband from the pain of the head going up in my back and the feet on my cervix. I use to use my hand and try to create counterpressure to get her to move. Other than that...not much else worked for me.

There are things you can do to try and turn the baby. Just do a search on breech baby. I ended up going for the version (a Dr had to actually flip my daughter) at 36 weeks.

LOTs AND LOTS of ice cold water, it will make the baby move around more which may get that head out from under your ribs. Sometimes if you apply some pressure the baby may move away from the pressure and this may make him/her move that head!

Thanks girls - glad to see i'm not the only one this has happened too - it's pretty uncomfortable. I am going to try the cold water thing as soon as I get home (I'm even tempted to sneak a cold glass of water into the ladies room here at work with me since I'm so uncomfortable!)
I'm also going to do some research now on the breech baby thing - thanks again!

some one told me that if you apply a bag of frozen peas ( iguess any vegetable would do ) on the area like a compress it may make the baby move. I guess they dont like the coldness.
