I have a pit in my stomach....

I went to talk to Patken today and want to book!!! I think FH might flip over the price. But I loved their work! He is at work right now and am so nervous to talk him into getting them!

I originally said price didnt matter when getting photographers b/c thats what lasts a lifetime! But then we went to talk to his friend who owns a wedding shop- and he quoted us at 1/2 the cost however pretty much half the work!

I am so nervous!!! Mostly because I need to decide by tomorrow in order to book the photgrapher we want.

I have heard girls say on here that all you have to do is give them a # and they work within that #. I didnt do that - i just told them what i liked, didnt like, wanted, etc. And it came out to $9000 something with tax. This is for video also.

What would you do?

OMG!!!!!!!! That is insane. I jusdt want photography, neither my fh and I want a videographer. I was thinking for just when I am getting ready in the morining, the ceremony, just after the ceremony and a little bit of the recpetion hall. About 4 hours in total. I would definitely suggest a price that would be much less and see what they offer and then work my way up, to something in my budget and get more than I expect. That way they get to think they get more money and I get more stuff

i am definitely trying to stay within my budget. I do not plan on spending more than 25,000.

WOW!! That is steep!! Good Luck with FH. I know mine would drop if I handed him a price like that. That seems like an awful lot. I agree with the last post, tell them a price in your budget and go from there.

I am a patken bride.

My package is under 3000 (FM me if you want to know my packege) and I am getting sooooooooo much. I told them this is what I want what can you do. And they matched and went beyond.

Talk to them. They are amazin.

NYChic, believe me go in, tell them what you want and they will do it for you. Thats what we did and I got a couple of extra's as well

definately bargain with them.... also you can always order extra enlargements after the wedding(making a smaller package now)...

which photographer did you like?>

Sorry guys- I havent been online all week- partly due to computer problems but also my FILs have been staying with us and I couldnt get on here!!!

Anyway, thanks for all your help! I havent gone back yet b/c of the above said...

I am definitely going ot lower the package -

I fell in love with doug;s work- which of course is more expensive than all the rest...

I'll keep you updated!

wow...9,000 seems like a bit much!! I have Steve and my package was 2,400 and we are getting ALOT!!! I was told that Doug is only 1500 more, so maybe you could talk to them, and tr for a lower package. I negotiated the negtaives in with my package, maybe that is an option for you!!! Good luck!!!
