Ok, so about 5 months ago I bought a headpiece @ Barron's in Tri County Flea Market. It was around $100 and at the time it was something I thought I really liked. As time has gone on closer to the wedding, I've seen other headpieces that I thought I liked better but decided to stick it out with the one I already bought.
Last night I was in Davids Bridal buying a slip with crinoline and a long line bra. I walked back to their headpieces and I saw one that i fell in love with. It was $150 and I can't stop thinking about how antiquey it looked and how gorgeous I thought it would be. I tried it on and I loved how it sparkled.
I told FH about it last night and he blew up at me. Saying I can never commit to anything and that i change my mind constantly.
*SIGH* he has a point. I agree that I flip flop all the time before settling. I think he's just upset about how I spend $100 and now I want a more expensive one. I told him I could try selling the one I have on here or on Ebay and hopefully make back a little bit of money. He's still pissed at me.
So....Do i go back and buy the headpiece or should I stick with the one I bought already?

Re: I have a problem need advice....
hmmmmmmm that sounds VERY familiar b/c i am the most indecisive person on the planet!
i bought a pair of earrings, loved them - then got wishy washy so i ordered another pair about 1 month before the wedding - those were back ordered so i kept looking around - then i bought another pair of earrings like 1 week before the wedding - was able to cancel the back ordered pair but am still stuck with the original pair
i found a headpiece that i loved - my SIL got it for me as a gift b/c she knew that i wanted it - then again about 1 month before the wedding i bought a haircomb myself to wear along with it
i went to two trials for my hair before i figured how i wanted to wear my hair - i was set on wearing it off to one side for months and then at the end i decided to just wear it all up
i went on a million make up trials and didn't book someone until a few months before b/c my original make up artist had to cancel and i couldn't find anyone else i liked (until i met M*i*a who was AWESOME!)
i bought two slips
ohhhh wait...........this is the best part...........
i bought a Melissa Sweet gown for my reception - a short dress - it was $$ - AND I NEVER WORE IT
so don't feel bad....
get the headpiece.....do what makes you happy.....try to sell or return the old one and make back some of your money.....i feel like you only get to do this once and you want to love everything and enjoy it all as much as you can - so if its something you can afford then go for it.....
i LOVED my wedding dress but hated the alterations and part of me wishes i could go back to the day before the wedding so i could make sure everything were perfect with it - but hindsight is 20/20 and the truth is there was so much going on with the dress the day before my wedding that i didn't realize things were still wrong until it was too late and i was getting dressed
but anyway i am rambling
get the headpiece, your FH will get over it

Go for it. At the end of the day, it's only $150. You have spent so much more that this sort of seems inconsequential. Plus, if you don't get it, you'll always wish you had. I am POSITIVE you can sell the original one and make back at least 50%.

aww, sorry he blew up at you! ...if you really have fallen in love with it, i say get it. try to sell the other one, or return it and honestly, just explain to your FH that you're not flip flopping, you made a mistake, and you're allowed to because your the bride

Re: I have a problem need advice....
I had the same issue. I bought a comb at Barrons and then decided that I really wanted a comb I saw at Thomas Knoell. And I decided to buy the one from Thomas Knoell and even bought a second, smaller comb.
I think you need to be happy. And if you can try to sell it, then at least you will make some money back.

I am quite indecisive as well! I even returned the first dress I bought from David's Bridal! If you love it go for it. It's one of the most important day in your life!

Absolutely, you need the other headpiece! It ***** that FH blew up at you, but that is their job! You want to be happy! You don't want to keep thinking about the other one! I bought a swavorski headpiece a month ago and was in bug trouble, he has now forgotten about it!!! Good Luck!

Re: I have a problem need advice....
first of all, is it your money??? if it's your hard earned money you should be able to do whatever you want with it- even if it means spending another $150 on a headpiece. if it makes you feel better, my headpiece is $250 (excluding tax) and personally i think that's pretty reasonable considering i've seen some that cost over $500. I also feel like you are entitled to change your mind!!!!! when planning a wedding SEVERAL months in advance of course this is very normal and bound to happen!!! DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!!! even if it means spending a little more money!!!
