Why is it that when someone in your family gets engaged, all of your planning has to be top secret? They want to top everything you do. It's so annoying.

Because that means they are trying to be better than you. You should be flattered, but I know exaclty where your coming from. Someone in my family is trying to out due me too. Thats why I refuse to share anything about my wedding with her.

Someone who is jealous of everything that you're doing. Wants to copy almost every aspect of your wedding. It's gotten to the point that I tell everyone that I'm done planning. Everything is ordered and ready to go. God give us patience.

I have one of those too and it's very frustrating. She's not family yet, we will be SIL. I don't tell this girl anything about my wedding though I told her a few things at the beginning. One hall that I really liked but thought it was too much $$ to ask my parents to pay, is now the hall she's looking to have her wedding at. Whatever. It's a pain in the a$$. Just keep your ideas to yourself.

Oh I have a few of those !! - And it's disappointing to keep things to yourself right ?? - I've learned who I can and can not talk about my ideas with. - Keep it a secret, you'll feel better about it !
