I have a question...

I have a question...

Why is it that you give people a GENEROUS amount of time (more than a month) to respond 'will attend' or 'will not attend' and you find yourself with 4 days left til the response date and you haven't heard back from half of the people you invited????

What is wrong with people? Is a month NOT enough time for them to get their $hit together???

You'll get a pile in the mail the day of your RSVP date. Ours was this past Wednesday and I still haven't heard from 20 or so people. I just spend the last 30 minutes, e-mailing them all!

Yeah, I am 18 days past my RSVP date and I am still waiting on a ton. I just assumed most were not coming so I put them down as no (most are OOT and have never been here, I highly doubt we'll be seeing them). But there are a few that I don't know about-ugh You will definately get a bunch on or right after the RSVP, that's what happened with us too.

People are idiots. No other way to say it.

I'm still waiting for 20 responses myself and I've been married over 4 months.

It's bc they have a month that they throw it onto a pile and forget about it. That's why I always mail my resposes out as soon as I get them.

Re: I have a question...

Do you guys feel like it's the unmarried ones who wait until the last minute to send the RSVP?

They don't know the concept of making us nervous and anxious!

I say make a note of these late repliers and do the same when they send you an invite with a rsvp!

Perhaps then they will learn how nerve-wracking it is to wait and wait!!!

Re: I have a question...

This is just the cross that all brides have to bear. My entire 8-ball team is flying to Vegas on Sunday for a pool tournament. We won't be back until after the RSVP date. I mentioned the missing RSVP to one of the guys on the team, and his response was 'I don't know if we can make it yet.' Well, he's got until tomorrow to figure it out, and drop the thing in the mail because he'll be out of town between Sunday and the RSVP date.
