my girlfriend just asked if it is allowed at a jewish wedding to give favors and I didnt know so I figured Id throw it out there

I've only been to one Jewish wedding and they did not do favors, but I am really not sure.

ive been 2 one as well & there were no favors. i have asked a co-worker who is jewish & she said they dont normally give favors.

I think it's 'allowed' but most Jewish weddings I've been to we did not get favors. I was recently talking to a friend of mine, who's jewish & getting married this month and she is not doing favors and said because you don't give favors at a jewish wedding. I left it at that. But not sure the reasoning behind...

FHs cousin just gave favors at her wedding
come to think if it though- the past 2 cousins to get married didnt do favors, but they got married at a temple
I think one did have goodies like krispie cream donuts to take home though
