On the day of he wedding, do you wear your engagement ring on the opposite hand? I was wondering because your band is supposed to be closer to your heart so you wear it first then your E-ring? Somebody told me you do and others told me you don't

Re: I have a question
Until I have my wedding band placed on my finger, I am going to wear my e-ring on my right hand on my wedding day and then I will move it.

Re: I have a question
I was told you give it to a trusted family member or friend (BM or MOH) until after you are married and have your wedding band on.

Re: I have a question
I have to keep my e-ring on my left hand even during the ceremony.... u confused yet??? lol - it's cuz i'm greek orthodox, and we wear our wedding bands on our right hands.... so my e-ring will stay put!

Re: I have a question
I think it is correct to either wear it on the opposite hand or give it to a family member. I, however, wore it on the regular hand and discretely slipped it off right before the ring exchange. (It is too small for my other hand and I wanted to wear it - so didn't give it to my mom!)

Re: I have a question
I think it's a preference. To me, having the wedding band put on after my e-ring signifies a lock. JMO

Re: I have a question
I'm keeping it on my left hand and having FH slip the band on top of it. I can just picture me dropping it or my MOH losing it in all of the craziness of the wedding. It's staying put. Not to mention, it doesn't fit my right hand.
july...believe it or not...our BM dropped my ring during our ceremony...and we were in a wooden gazebo on the beach!!! I remember it in slow motion...thinking Id ask someone in the audience to lend me their ring!! lol...one GM said he was ready to start digging in the sand...
