my bridal party is split....2 are friends of mine that are friends with each other, the other 2 BM are family....so i'm splitting it, family with family tables, friends with the friends tables. i'm not going a dais, only a sweetheart table

u can seat them wherever u like...u dont have to do the entire bridal party at the same table with their dates..u can have mixed tables

I'm having FH and I at one table then the bridesmaids at one and the groomsman at the other on our ight and left and the kids with their parents.
I'm still not sure though because I'm sure the bridal parties dates are going to want to sit with them.

Re: i have a question about sitting arrangements....

I'm only having a MOH and best man. My sister (MOH) will be sitting with my family. The best man will probably sit with FH's family since he's known them since college.

I was MOH at my sister's wedding. She had the entire bridal party at the dais and I thought it was stupid because all the dates had to sit at tables by themselves!

Every other wedding that I've been a bridesmaid in, we were just mixed in at tables (no special table for bridal party and dates).

My friend had the separate table for her bridal party and dates...it seemed to work out well for all of them.

stupid question:

what's a dais?

Re: i have a question about sitting arrangements....

I had my MOH and her boyfriend sitting next to me, DH had the Best Woman and her husband sitting next to him. We placed the rest of the party at tables throughout the room, wherever it seemed appropriate to seat them. (So my youngest sis / BM sat with the rest of the younger cousins, DH's brothers sat at his family's table, etc.).

stupid question:

dias? dais? don't know if I spelled it right.

It's the table where the bride and groom sit. Or, if you're stupid like my sister (LOL) you have the entire bridal party sit with you there.

This is a dais. Basically, the head table, although I think calling it a dais technically means it's raised. It's used interchangeably.
