I have a question about the BM dress I chose...

I have a question about the BM dress I chose...

As you can see, it has an empire waist. I wanted the length right below the knee, as it's a summer wedding and we'll be on the beach. I don't know how this style of dress would look when cut that short. Has anyone seen this done, or is anyone doing this? What do you all think? Thank you!

I am sure it will be fine. I can't see any problems with it. You need to find a good professional seamstress to handle it.

Do you think I should send them to my seamstress, or let the store handle it?

Definitely speak to the store about it first and if you are comfortable with them then use them but if not contact your seamstress about it.

You are welcome. I think you will not be disappointed with the finish product. It should come out nice.

Yeah, I was just worried b/c of the empire waist. I'm a very visual person and the whole BM process has been difficult! thanks again

I think they are very pretty and they will look good with a shorter hem too

what if you did a little longer in the back? This way it would mimick the empire......

Definetely you can make them shorter.

I have a questions.....is the ribbon at the empire waist more bronze or more gold? I am thinking of doing red and gold for my colors and would like to find a BM dress that has both colors.

Well, I only saw the dress in this gorgoues (sp) purple color in the store, so I'm not sure about the bronze. But the dress in this pic doesn't look very red to me anyway! Here's the link to the website if you want to check it out, but don't bother looking at the color chart, it's WAY off. Even looking at the swatches in person hasn't really helped me, but the store had the color I wanted in another dress, so I was able to chose. Red and gold sound so rich and pretty! HTH!
