Is anyone else having a ring bearer and if so is he holding the wedding bands for you and fh? I am having a ring bearer and I was told that the ring bearer gets fake rings to put on the pillow and the best man gets the real rings and holds them for the bride and groom. I have no idea if that is true or not can anyone help me on this? Thank you so much ladies for your help.
sorry I don't know. I only had the best man hold the rings. I didn't want to trust a 3 yr old walking down a long aisle. But if you want to put the real rings make sure it is super tied and that someone is at the end of the church to have him start walking down the aisle. I don't think anything will happen, I was just super paranoid and really didn't want any kids in my bridal party. Plus the church didn't allow a flower girl.
I am not having a rb but I've always seen the best man with the rings, never the rb, unless he is older, I would just let the best man hold onto the rings.
You can do it either way. Our ring berrer held the real rings because he was given fakes for my sil's wedding and he got upset when he found out they were fake. LOL. So for our wedding he said he wanted them to be the real ones! He was very careful with them. it was really cute.
Usually the rb holds fake rings on the pillow and the best man holds the real rings. My son is the rb and he is only 4 and I would not trust him with real ones b/c he'll probably end up running down the aisle lol.

I am not having 1 but I must agree that I wouldnt feel comfortable having a 3 yr old hold my hundreds of dollars worth of rings.

Thank you ladies for all your help. I want to be safe about who has the rings. My fh is using his Dad's wedding band ( his father past away and he wanted his Dad's wedding band) my wedding band was bought. I just want them to be in a safe place. I wanted to see what youladies were doing. Thank you for sharing what you all are doing with your wedding bands
my RB will have fake rings and our BM will have the real jewels!
We put fake rings on the pillows and gave the real rings to the best man. I do not trust a 5 and 7 year old with my wedding rings!!
