I forgot to tell you girls what happened to me on the way to my fitting..So I'm on wantaugh parkway..and i missed the turn onto merrick road (Lillettes is on merrick road in baldwin)..so I'm heading towards Jones beach and Im driving for what seemed like a while and i see a spot where i could make a u-turn..theres no sign..so i'm thinking what the heck..and seconds later theres a friggen trooper pulling me over..and he was beyond nasty...Got a ticket for an illegal u-turn..I was sooooo pissed...Do you think I can get out of it? (my sister's fh is nypd) and there was no sign that said you couldn't make a u-turn? Unfortunately though the nypd pba card didn't work..he didn't even care

Lol probably!! And my mom was in the car with me and said 'officer, can't you cut her a brake' and he was like 'I'm a trooper mam'... lol it was ridiculous

I would try to get out of it since there was no sign, but it also depends on what judge you have the day you have to go to court. I've heard horror stories where the judge was such an @$$hole and would not let people get out of a ticket when it was under extreme circumstances. But you might get lucky - good luck!

Aww, that's too bad. If you go to court you should at least be able to reduce it. I'm not sure how many points that would be, but it would be worth it to reduce that alone. You may be able to have the fine and points reduced. Someone else on here may know better. Did you ask your FSIL what she thought?

Take pictures of the area showing that there is no sign posted about U-turns. That will help you out tons.

FH told me that if a trooper stops you, you will definitely get a ticket
