You can get just proofs and not any package deal?

I think some will do this. But it will be hard to find. Maybe post an ad on craigslist.org and see who replies.

Cassarino has a quote for this at the top of their package price listing. I think it was around $1600.

Not hard to find at all. Go, run, sprint to 12th Night.

Most will do this if you want...but I ran into a 'nasty' person when I told them I wanted just my proofs,negatives and/or CD with photo files... because they aren't having you 'buy' into a big package.

For me, I want to make my own book on MyPublisher after the wedding. Plus, I know I'll have more $$ after the wedding to splurge on something. Plus, my FH and I disagree on whether we like the photo albums that Photogs provide.

AND...lastly, I'd rather make reprints on Shutterfly and do what I want.

So that's why i want to do a non-package deal.

I dont think it is hard to find either... every photog I visited had it available... if you dont see it on their package list just ask...

Im doing my own album too!! I just dont have $1000++ to spend on one simple book...

if you are interested in doing this, make sure you find out what they shoot... digital, negatives etc.... IMO having all digital will make it easier on you... some negatives that photogs use are a square shape, which not every photo place an reproduce easily...

Yes, I agree with this definitely. That is why I am doing all digital no matter where I go.

As a side note, we were at a friend's house and they had one of the books that I don't particulary care for (in jersey) and FH was like... I love this... ugh, we are so opposite~!
