I have a wierd pain in my side/Stomach

I have been getting this for like 2 weeks now. I thought it would go away, but it hasnt yet. It is like a tingling, burning feeling that I don't have all the time, just some times. It is located on the side of my stomach and it almost feels like its my skin that hurts.

I know this sounds wierd, and I have no idea what it is. I know I need to probably make a doctors appointment, but what do i tell the nurse, my skin hurts?

Does anyone know what this would be?

It could be anything but if it has been bothering you for two weeks you probably should make a Doctor's appointment.

Yeah im going to call the doctor at 9am. Danielle was telling me that there is a possibility it could be frm not drinking alot of water. I am on a high protien diet, and the kidneys need a lot of water. I havent been drinking that much water for the past month. I hope its not too serious.

which side...left or right? are there any other symptoms? does anything seem to bring it on, like eating certain food or a certain time of day that you notice it more?

Left side...no symptoms...Just a wierd tingly, streaky pain...in the side between my back and my stomach....

It doesnt hurt all the time, but this morning it has been hurting.

could be just a strain of a muscle or something...that would give off a burning sensation

Left side means your colon - you be Irritable Bowel Syndrome ...

Right is appendix and a ton of other things, left is colon side.

2) if you are going to do low carb YOU MUST DRINK THE WATER...

I know I do....Things have just been so crazy for the past few weeks that I think I forgot too lol. I am making up for it today.

It better not be my colon. I dont think I have IBS.

I am going to the doctor Saturday morning at 8:45 am.

I know my friend has it. I have always had stomach problems though....so it wouldnt surprise me if I did have IBS.

My stomach often hurts on the lower left side! I don't know why, but it usually goes away relatively quickly.

Doesn't sound like IBS to me (since I have it). If you had IBS you would be in the bathroom all day (or else you wouldn't see the inside of one for days... that's the nature of IBS, you're either running fast or standing still, if you catch my drift).

Truthfully, it could be gas. Protein takes a ton of energy to digest, so chances are some of it is taking a while and giving you some side effects. Listen to the other girls and drink your water!! You should think about taking fiber pills too.

If it was your appendix, I think you'd know. It would be EXTREMELY painful. One other thought it maybe it's your gall bladder... my SIL had hers taken out because she had bad gall stones. Gall stones are caused mainly when fatty foods can't be digested properly... case in point the ATKINS diet! Too much protein is not good for you, plain and simple. It takes longer to digest than most people realize, which causes all sorts of nasty bowel-related issues (not to mention bad breath). But back to the issue at hand....

Drink a ton of water, take some fiber pills, and see your doctor.

Most of all, FEEL BETTER!

Your gallbladder is on your right side... Im guessing its gas.. Take some antacid or gas x and drink some H2o. You stomach is on your left side...

Fiber pills....hmmm.....I guess I will try that. I am going to the doctor saturday morning. I will see what he says first. I drank like 80 ounces of water today....So I gotta stick to that now....

I'm only going to stick to this way of eating for another month or so....and then I am going to try to eat healthy....Well after the wedding that is lol....I started walking last friday, and I am going to try to stick with that. I walk 2 or 3 miles a day....I am sure that will help me....
