I have an invitation problem

I have an invitation problem

I wanted to make my own invites. So I started out with a simple invite from Michaels. I really liked the one I picked. I was going to attempt to make my own pocketfolds and Shell on here was helping me. WEll my problem is that I cant find a color that I like for pocketfolds. My invite is ivory, bridesmaids dress color is persimmon, grooms suits will be in the tan family. I wanted the pocketfold to be the same color as the BM dresses but I cant find it.
Any suggestions?

Where did you look for the pockets?

I know I definitely saw some on either cards and pockets or paper and more that was very close to a persimmon color.

I was looking on there...what color is close do you think?

This one is called Clementine, it's from cards and pockets...its really close to your MOH dress in your album

And this one is called Pomegranate, it's a little more red than orange, but more subdued, also cards and pockets

Thanks Ali- I feel dumb at this but how do I order a sample or even check the colors. Cards and Pockets is making me mad because I dont know how to navigate it!

Make it! Buy a paper cutter and a scoring attachment... score the paper instead of cutting it and cut the bottom in whatever shape you want. Its not as hard as you'd think.

This is what I wanted to do but I couldnt find paper long enough to make it and I said if I have to order the paper then I might as well order the pocket? Right?

The cardstock will be too small or the pocketfold will be too small?

\
all the pocket folds i found that do not come in the sizes that will fit our invites
you could go up to a 6x9 pocket fold but then your envelopes will be too small.

Ok so I could order the paper and do it myself (what I wanted to do anyway).
Would the paper be big enough. I think its 8.5X11.
I ordering color samples because I want the colors to at least be close. I have a paper cutter but Im not sure if I have the scorer. I have that tool you mentioned to be a while back. I bought it already...Im almost there.

Re: I have an invitation problem

ok here ya go sorry it is odd angles but i couldn't get them right and i wanted to do it quick LOL

what if you took your invite and turned it sideways
use a gatefold (the orange) put it under the actual invite part before you stick it to the folding part
then fold your orange sides in over the invite info (horazontally)
then close up the the outer part (vertically) and ite your ribbon

it's just another idea to play around with
