I have appointments with 3 photographers

I am seeing Lombardo tomorrow, cassarino next Tuesday and Patken Feb 4.

any tips???

I booked with Cassarino. I really like their work and the man I met with was great. Good luck.

When Cassarino makes you an offer, don't be afraid to ask for more!

Does you reception hall recommend them? If so, they may have 'coupons'.

actually Patken is preferred vendor of my hall. I didnt know that until just now when I looked at the folder my hall gave me

(Manor east is my hall)

I am very excited about seeing cassarino. the woman who i spoke to was beyond nice and answered a lot of my questions. i am excited about seeing them. brian is too

If you are going to the one in Mineola, you'll probably meet with Razz. He's very cool. If you decide to book, make sure you look at the albums of the photographers that are available. They let you thumb through and pick the one you want if he/she is available.

Chippa - here are some tips for you, since no one else offered:

1) Ask if you can customize your own package, so that you can get what you need and keep your cost reasonable

2) Ask if you get more than one photographer for your money.

3) Ask what percentage of the finished product will be in black&white and color?

4) Ask what type of cameras, lenses and film the photographer uses.

5) Ask to see samples of different photographers' work...look at proofs and finished albums.

6) Choose a style, not a proof amount or price. You could have tons of pics, but if they aren't the style you love, you'll have a hard time designing your album and ordering enlargements.

7) Ask if there's a time limit in which you have to decide upon your enlargements and album (don't get caught by surprise like poor Cindy did).

8) Ask when they deliver your negatives to you.

9) Ask if you get to keep all your proofs.

10) Aks if the photographer stays until the very end of the night.

11) Ask what their policies are if you are not satisfied with the end product.

12) Ask if they accept 'must-have' photo lists.

13) Ask if they have experience working at your ceremony and reception locations, or if they have suggestions for nearby photo-ops.

I could probabyl go on all night, but the point is - you cannot ask too many questions of the one vendor that will spend the most time with you on your wedding day. I am offering these questions to you based upon my own experience. I hope they are helpful!! Good luck, and don't forget to let us know how you did!

OMG claud thanks so much for that list. I copied it and pasted it into a word document and i am definatly taking it with me.

I have a wedding planning book that has questions as well so i am also going to take that with me.

I booked Cassarino and am very happy. The only thing I would specify is who's work you like best when viewsing the albums and make sure their name is on the contract. Good luck!!

I booked Patken and Vinny is my photographer. The thing I liked about them is that they were very flexible with their packages and all the special effect pics (black and white, infrared) were all included in their price. All the other studios I visited charged extra for that stuff. Also, Patken's prices were $300 cheaper than my original photographer and I'm getting more pics.
