So many people in my life are pregnant- it seems like everyone I know is PG. We just got married 3 mos. ago and I'm definitely not ready- would like to settle, enjoy our marriage, dog, home and save some $ first- but I find myself envious of those who are having a baby. Does/did anyone experience this?

I have. My husband and I waited five years to get pregnant. I am a teacher and everyone at work within the last five years has had children. I love children and envied my coworkers to an extent, but I was still grateful for my independence. We weren't ready yet. Now, my hubby has finished school, I have finished school, we have a house and money...well when do you really ever have enough? We are expecting in August. Just enjoy their babies right now and when your day comes it'll be very special.

This is definately me! So many people around me are pregnant and so many of them either got married right before me or right after me. Ive always wanted to be a mother and even though we felt we were ready to at least start ttc, the doctors felt differently which totally put a new spin on everything.
All I know is that when my time comes, I am going to be on cloud 9! This is what I have been waiting for most in my life and I know that when we are ready and everything is in place, Anthony and I will be sooo ready for the blessing!

It is like you read my mind! My DH says not until we have a house. I say..let's start trying tomorrow! My friends are starting to have kids and they keep asking me when are they going to be aunt! I wish I knew the answer to that question.

i feel the same way too, i know that Im still young but i very much want children. My biggest problem is that we cannot afford to live on one salary and daycare would be too expensive and also isnt really something that I want to do either. My dh still wants to wait, but I could start right now.

My maternal instincts are running really high lately. A lot of my friends are pregnant... and I know that when the time comes for us, it will be great! DH and I talk about it all the time, but we know we HAVE to have a house first! Now we just need to figure out where we want to live!
Can't wait, though. I feel like as soon as we have the keys to our new house we'll be headed for the bedroom

Geez - come spend a day at the 'Colic Cabana' over here - sure to shake any baby envy you might be harboring!
I would imagine if friends are starting to have children, it would seem the obvious progression. So much changes when you have kids, that the social life as you know it is so altered. I say stay on board, learn as much as you can - and FM me when you are ready to TTC!!!
