I'm sure many of you have heard of the house that exploded in Queens. It turned out to be 3 of my students at my after school's home. They are on the front page of the NY DAILY NEWS today. They lost everything and their mom. I'm so upset they boys are in 1,4,& 5th grade Kevin, Ryan and Chris. The family came to the church for our wedding I took a few pictures with them I will post later. They were so happy to be there for us on our wedding day. On Thursday I gave the youngest boy Chris our thank you card for being at the church. And the last thing I said to him when he was walking out was make sure you give that to your mom. I just can't stop crying.
They are such a wonderful family.

I'm so sorry. I've actually been thinking about that house explosion this whol weekend. On my drive home Fri I saw the smoke before I even knew what had happened. Terrible...

I am so sorry. We can get so caught up in frivolous stuff and it can be fun etc. but this is the real deal and I can't even imagine. I hope you are ok.

Oh how terrible! Life is fragile. Such a devistating thing to occur. I'm so sorry for all involved! My heart goes out to you and these boys and the father.

it's such a sad story. i heard all about this. i actually live in new hyde park and saw all of this going on when it happend. all the fire trucks, smoke and all. its horrible and such a horrible thing to be going thru. poor children and husband, i can't even imagine the pain they are feeling! :(
