I look online at my registy to add things and my china went from $99 to like $150plus...
What the ----!!!!!
I called and they said there is nothing they can do about it... if someone wants to buy it from online they will get it for that price but if they purchase it in store it is cheaper!
What a line of s---! I am switching everything over to Fortunoffs!

your prices will still go up and down at Fortunoff. Sometimes things are on sale and sometimes they're not...

i too had the same thing happen to me but the price was 86 dollars(said was on clearence) and later it went up to over 200 , i had to pull it . if you read carefully like i did when all was said and done price's may change due to sale! and that is the price they will have to pay, it not right i know!

I realize that prices jump but in the store it is regular price! So if a relative in Florida buys it without realizing she is paying soo much more than buying it from the store...

That stinks but just to warn you, switching to Fortinoffs might not make it any easier...only because my China ended up being on sale at Macys for like 6 months, when it was $30 more expensive at Fortunoffs. My relatives ended up buying at macys, and i adjusted my fortunoffs registry.
I do sympathize, its so annying, like anyone trying to buy is getting cheated.

the woman at macy's told us that since the online portion is done by wedding channel.com on the west coast--and not macy's directly-- that the prices can be different. doesn't make it right but that's the explanation that we got.

I had a horrible experience registering at Macy's and I didn't even get china. I pulled it and registered at Fortunoff and Crate & Barrel. In my opinion, the Crate & Barrel registry is awesome!

I switched my china from Macys to BBB because of this. It went from $90 to $130

I have had the same thing happen at JCPenney!! In the store it was $500 more!!!!!!!!!!!
