Tri-county flea market in Levittown on Hempstead Turnpike. It's on the top level and they'll give you an estimate right there.

I'm not sure, but I think there was a thread recently ( I can't find it-maybe it was deleted?) which said that a poster couldnt believe how much more she got for her jewelry at a particular place after she went to a couple of booths in tri county to get an estimate.

I tried doing a search and couldnt find that particular thread saying where she wound up going.

I want to do this too.. actually gold jewelry from high school boyfriends I forgot about in old boxes!! now they'll help me pay for wedding stuff

anyone check out Budget Buy and Sell in Patchogue??
And stupid question: can you shop around for a good price? they won't tell me anything over the phone...

I went to a gold party at one of my friend's houses where we sold our gold...it was really cool!!! Instead of spending our momey we made some!! Here is the website if you're interested:

One of my co workers brought some odds & ends there like earrings without a match and some other things and couldnt believe how much $ she got. I was thinking about going there myself.

Ultra Diamonds at Tanger in RIverhead is buying old gold jewelry, they will pay you (i believe) 30% of the retail sales price if you want the cash, if you want to put the money toward a store purchase they will pay you 50% of the retail value. I'm doing this and putting the $$$ toward our wedding bands. Call the store (Ultra in Tanger II) and speak to Roxanne or Jillian if you are interested.

ETA: they did mention to me if you have broken jewelry, mis-matched earrings or just old stuff you don't wear they take it all and being that they are a big company I trust that they aren't screwing me over, lol!
