I haven't been around in a long time...here's why...

So many things (both good and bad) are happening right now...

Last week, as some of you may know, DH and I moved into our new house in PA...all went well...until Wednesday...

DH's father passed away. He had been sick for the past year with lung cancer.

It's been like a roller coaster ride for us for so long, we got engaged, his dad found out he was sick, we got married, now we bought a house, and his dad dies...so many ups and downs...life is crazy at times.

We're doing ok, my DH is sad and I'm there for him through this time...

We could really use a couple of hugs right now.

I'm so sorry.

Unfortunately, I can relate -- My FIL became terminally ill with cancer right after we were engaged and he passed away 3 months after we got married.

I know its a hard time. My husband and I had a tough first year, but we also became much stronger for it. I felt like I lost a part of him when we lost his father. Just listen well and love him a lot.

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. My father passed of lung cancer with a bone metastasis two weeks before my wedding. Now I keep him as my angel who is there whenever I need him. Best of luck in your new home.

I am so sorry for your loss. And I am sorry that this sorrow has put a damper on your happiness. Still.....I would like to say congrats on the new house. I hope time will help ease the pain of your loss.

I'm sorry about your loss. I lost my father a couple years ago and FH lost his six months later. It was a tough year for us but we got through it with each other. Although it will never be easy being without him, it will get easier. My thoughts are with you.
