I haven't been walking too well since I started physical therapy (I had arthropscopy on my knee and ankle in June). FH has noticed me limping a lot more and I'm wondering if maybe my physical therapy place is messing me up? Any ideas? Should I just call my doctor on Monday to find out what he thinks?

I would definately call the doctor. Did your PT warn you that you might have pain afterwards? Kind of like that first workout soreness after you've been away a while?

Have you mentioned this to the PT? Maybe there is an adjustment to your treatment plan that can be made or maybe it is to be expected. If not, maybe you should change PTs or get a second opinion on the treatment plan.

Re: I haven't been walking too well...
The PT never mentioned that there might be pain after. What triggered it was this exercise they had me doing in order to straighten my leg out. I had a small cushion under my knee and had to push my kneecap as far into the pillow as possible.
If anyone has had a really good experience with a PT, let me know. I may consider going to a new place after I check with my doctor to find out whether this is normal or if this is even an exercise I should be doing.
Thanks!

When I first started PT/MT, I was in more pain than I was before my accident, but this is normal. They should have discussed that with you. It will initially hurt, but eventually feel better.

I find that after some of my treatmens, PT, chiro, massage, etc, I ahve more pain, but it's a normla part of the healing process. it couldn;t hurt to ask the doctor and talk to the PT about it too!
