I heard the same thing and then I read this.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are splitting up? At first the rumors were limited to the pages of the tabloids, but they seemed too outrageous to be true. Now the gossip is hitting other media, including PEOPLE and USA Today and even newspapers in Australia, Canada, and Britain. The whispers are growing louder and getting hard to ignore.

The embarrassing failure of 'Gigli' and Ben's alleged romp in a strip bar in Vancouver were apparently too much for J.Lo. According to The New York Post, she shed her 25-carat diamond and platinum engagement ring--said by some to have cost a whopping $1 million--and fled the set of her next movie in Winnipeg, Canada to head to the privacy of her Los Angeles home. Then she reportedly hit the bars with 15 friends, including the rapper Q-Tip and 'rang up a $9,000 bar tab,' says the Post. 'Jennifer kept talking about the 'drama, drama, drama,' and told several people she was single before hitting the dance floor for the rest of the night. She was not wearing the engagement ring,' the unnamed source dished to the Post's 'Page Six' gossip column. Meanwhile, the Melbourne Australia Herald-Sun reports that J.Lo told a friend, 'It's over between me and Ben. He's made me a laughing stock.'

Where was Ben through all this? He was in Vancouver on the set of his next movie where he also got caught carousing in an exotic nightclub in mid-July along with Tara Reid, Christian Slater, and Slater's wife, Ryan Haddon. The next day, Ben was too sick to do an interview with 'Entertainment Tonight.'

You know, if that's true...I HOPE IT IS!! Normally I hate when guys act trashy like that, but in this case, I forgive him. LOL.

Well, if Ben really was caught on tape with stripper, I'd have to say J. Lo did the right thing.

If not, well.....who knows. These celebrities live in a different world. They all think they are the center of the universe. Get real. It's no wonder they go through relationships like most people go through socks.

Aren't they in the middle of doing another movie together? I heard that they were going to do another movie together, decided before 'Gigli' hit the theaters.

I don't know. I heard on the radio Linda Lopez calling her sister JLO on the phone telling her about the strip club. JLO acted like she didn't care, she was very calm and half asleep.

It was up to Jennifer Lopez's sister Lynda to tell her famous sibling about the National Enquirer story claiming fiance Ben Affleck spent a night out at a strip club in Canada, reports the New York Daily News.

'Oh, gosh,' Lynda told J.Lo over the phone on her Blink 102.7 radio show. 'They say Ben wants to sue The National Enquirer because they put a story in that he, when he was in Vancouver, he went to a strip club with other actors and that he was tipping the girls a lot and stuff.'

Sounding sleepy and a little flustered, J.Lo responded: 'He, he ... it sounds like Ben. He, uh, does tip a lot. ... I don't know about this. I'll have to ask him.'

Lynda's co-host and boyfriend, Chris Booker, asked Jennifer if all the publicity surrounding the two had taken a toll on their relationship.

'We're human,' she said, 'so, yeah, sometimes it bothers us. But you know, for the most part you just try to take it with a grain of salt. I mean what can you do?'

Affleck's reps have called The Enquirer story - which involved Ben and strippers ending up at actor Christian Slater's house for a party where cocaine and booze were available - 'absolutely false' and 'garbage.'

I don't think anyone deserves to be humiliated the way Lopez has been.

Her fiance goes to a strip club and goes down on some stripper?? I don't care how many men she's 'gone through' - it's not my business, nor anyone elses.

I think there is a difference between good and bad publicity, and this is just bad. Colleen is right, these people have to deal with not only the issues of a normal relationship, but have those issues in the spotlight. Sure they are rich and famous but there needs to be an end to the harrassment of it all. I do feel bad for them. But then again, I am all up in their business..lol
