I heard the heartbeat today!!!!

YAHOO! I am soo relieved, now I can finally stop worrying! I went to the doctor this afternoon and heard the heartbeat for the very first time! It was such a beautiful sound!

And guess what else? In just 4 short weeks we go for our u/s, and we are planning to find out the sex (as long as the baby cooperates!) I am sooo excited! Thanks for reading!!!

I am 12 weeks today. I go back to doctor at 13 weeks and I hope we are able to hear the hearbeat. If not I will beg for an u/s. I hate worrying and dh thinks that I am nuts for worrying.
We do not wanna find out the sex of baby.

Melissa - congratulations! That is such a wonderful moment - the very first sound of your baby's heart!

I will never, ever forget when we heard Paul's heart...oh gosh, I'm welling up here...

egreen - congrats and good luck to you! I don't know for sure, but if for some reason the baby isn't cooperating and you can't hear the heartbeat next week, I'm pretty certain they will automatically do an ultrasound b/c the doc will want to see the baby and make sure everything is okay. Let us know what happens

Congratulations--isn't it such a nice feeling! I heard mine last week (i'm 13 weeks) and it was so amazing. I can't wait for for next u/s so I can see all the changes but I definitely don't want to know the sex!

YAY!!! Congratulations that is wonderful!! I can't wait to hear the heartbeat myself!! I've seen it on the u/s but haven't heard it yet -- hopefully next appointment (13 weeks) -- only a couple of weeks to wait! I hope the baby cooperates on the u/s! Please keep us posted!! When are you due?
