Before I even start looking at reception halls, am I fooling myself to thinking I can find a nice place on a Saturday night in October at 70 dollars a person?
I hate to ask questions like this, but none of my friends are married, and my siblings all eloped, so I am kinda on my own (with the help of my new friends here of course) on planning this wedding.
can anyone give me suggestions of places to go where I wont be wasting my time when it comes to my budget. I have a guest list of about 145.
Thanks for all your help everyone..:)

No, your not being tacky at all..and honestly yes, it will be hard to find, but not impossible at all.
My original budget was $55-$60 a per without tax etc...
We are paying $69 pp but with tax and gratuity its over $85 a person in the end. ( and thats a Friday in winter)
The cheapest places moneywise I found ( and I think all of them are great places regradless of price!) are Stewart Manor Country Club Mediterrian Manor ( very reasonable!) Coral House Huntingotn TownHouse Arianna Waterfall Stewart Thomas Manor Manor East Chiatau Briand ( sp??)

Your not being tacky but it might be hard to find a place on a Saturday night for that price. Good luck!

Re: I hope I am not being tacky
I think you can definitely find a place for that amount of money. The issue will be with minimums, though. So make sure they don't quote you 70pp with a guarantee of 200 people or something like that. Do you have any ideas of where you want to have it yet? That might help everyone generate some ideas for you! And NO, you're NOT being tacky at all! That is what we're all here for!
