I hope I meet my minimum!

Monday was our RSVP date. We are still waiting on 37 people to get back to us.

But we have a definate 125. I think only about 15 out of the 37 will say yes, if we are lucky!

Our minimum is 150! a

We have 6 vendors, which will count towards our minimum if we can't meet it, and also FH & myself.

We were thinking at least 170 would come, so that is what we budgeted for! At least we won't have to dish out as much money as we thought~!

I WISH PEOPLE WOULD RSVP ALREADY! I am going to have to start phone calls in about a week! I want to start figuring out the seating! d

Wow- 37 people. that's a lot. Why don't people RSVP?
Drives me mad.

Maybe people mailed them on the rsvp date. If so, you should get them by Saturday.
Yes, definitely start calling them on Monday.

you're being nice! I'm going to be a total bridezilla and call everyone the DAY AFTER the RSVP date (18th). They had more than enough time to respond... and i need to give burtons my table count that sunday (25th).

I realized too late that i should have made the rsvp date earlier... i figured if i gave them more time, then they should be in in plenty of time... WRONG!!!!

i probably won't make my minimum either, but not sure whether we'll be a few people short or 20 people short.

I am in the same boat! My RSVP is tomorrow and we still have not heard from 32 people. Right now we are at 125 and we guaranteed 150 as well. And we thought we would be over Majestic gardens is allowing you to count your vendors as part of your 150??? I hope that is what Lands End will do so I do not have to pay for 150 and then plus the band etc. Do most reception places do that????

land's end lets you do this... just ask
i guaranteed 250 and was hesitant about it and they said if we don't meet the # then our band and other vendors will be counted ...we don't have to pay extra
that was a great thing...just in case

We invited about 200 people total!

Yes, Majestic Gardens allows us to count our vendors towards our minimum if we can't meet it. Also the kids. We have 4 children under 12. They will count toward the minumum too if we can't meet it. But if we do, they are 1/2 price.

WHY DON'T PEOPLE RSVP??????w S

I'm afraid of the same thing! I have to guarantee 150 people. That's why we're getting married on a Sunday, because we would have never been able to make the 200 minimum for a Saturday night. Oh well :)

Why can't people just send the RSVP'S out??? It's driving me crazy. My RSVP date is the 17th, and I am still waiting for 24 replys- these are from part of my family, and other people I talk to every day!!

Same here... My RSVP date is the 10th and I am still waiting for 33 response cards so that means I am waiting on about 60 people....some of the people who haven't responded yet are in my bridal party so I know they are coming. I just hope I meet my minimum of 235.

People are starting to drive me NUTS!!!!!

I would pick up the phone and start calling people immediately ! You shouldn't have to stress yourself over this so better that you find out sooner rather than later!

Definitely call people. Also, as far as not meeting the minimum, I'm going to give you the advice I gave my sister and it worked for her!

She was under her minimum, so I told her, ask them if you can pay as if you had hte minimum 200 (which is what tey wnated her to do)...but get something for it. So they're getting their $$, but she's getting something for it. So it worked and they gave her I think an extra dish at the cocktail hour and these lights they hang up that ordinarily cost $500.

We came in almost 20 people under our minimum We were hoping to just hit our minimum, but as luck would have it, things started happening and we got more no's than we expected. Had we known, we could've invited more people than we did. Oh well....

It sucked, but they were able to work with us, so we didn't take as big of a loss as we thought. They counted in vendors and kids, and worked with us on the menu a bit.

The RSVP thing is so stressful, why can't people just respond???? There are about 7 people that never RSVP'd at all, even after we called! No phone call, nothing!!
