But, what happens at the BIG SONO? I've read a couple of posts just today that reference the big sono and I'm curious...
I just went for my first sono at 13 weeks on Friday!!!!!!! It was so exciting to see the little bean!!!

ETA...I guess I should have known that because I do have my 20 week sono scheduled...I just didn't think they were referring to that.

Yep, the big sono is around 20 weeks. You can find out the sex of the baby (if he/she cooperates). My apt lasted a full hour and we got to see every inch of his little body....we even get to see things like the four chambers of the heart and blood flow (of course it didn't look like much more than white lines on the screen). The technician takes all of the measurements of the baby to be sure everything is on target.
It was so much fun!!!!!! You girls are gonna love it

It's the big sono because they measure the baby and make sure it is growing properly and check all the organs etc, finding out the sex if you want is the added bonus.
