I had hurt my foot a couple of months ago, and lately it has been getting gradually worse. When I'm off my feet for long periods of time, then get up to walk, I get a shooting pain up the side of my foot... Well, today I went to see a podiatrist, and he gave me a Cortizone (sp??) shot, and now, 4 hours later, I can't even walk on it at all!!!!! He told me i work to hard and to take it easy... Yeah right, who's gonna pay the bills???? Just needed to vent...

He took Xrays, but nothing it broken.. He said that I probably injured it during regular day at work. I hopped a fence a couple of months ago chasing a perp, maybe I landed wrong... I don't know.. He put me on anti-inflamitories also... And he wrapped it, to help with the swelling. I see him in 2 weeks... Good thing I bought dress shoes for my sisters wedding before the dr....

I work for a podiatrist, cortisone is usually a tempoaray fix to bring down swelling, sort of like get you over the hump...... did he give you a Diagnosis of what is wrong with your foot? Feel better!
