i just came back from bridal reflections................
i had a great experience there! i was a little iffy going there but i wanted to try on the Alvina Valenta dress. i dont have any pic of me in it but i loved it! i also tried on the Amalia Carrara dress- it looks so much better in person!

I'm so happy you had a great experience- cuz I sure didn't! They turned their nose up at me when I had such a tight budget and loved Maggies! They gave me one maggie to try on and the chick couldn't get my style for the life of her.
Glad you had a great time though!!! Do you think you're close to a decision?

That's SUCH a gorgeous gown. Also the first one on the Alvina Valenta Spring 07 page, the one with the draped bodice--her dresses look so sumptous , you know? If I had $3000 instead of $1000 to spend, I would have had a hard time choosing. So it's good I had less, right? Hah.
Good luck! I think that's such an amazing dress, and you would be an unforgettable bride in it.

thanks girls! yeah my problem is that i love both but cant decide- i love how both dont have a long train but they both fit really well- i like lace on the first one & the bead work on the second!

I'm completely biased b/c I wore an Alvina Valenta but I say go with the AV!!!! I met Victoria McMillan personally and she is just the SWEETEST person ever. She takes such pride in the work she puts out and really wants every bride to look her absolute best!!! Go for the AV!!!!

it fits really well- i thought i wouldnt like the band around the waist but it is very flattering!

they are both lovely dresses.... There is a thread somewhere on here for angry bridal models, that pic of the second model def belongs there, she looks like she was stood up at the alter.

They are both beautiful.. I like #2, but mostly because the dresses are so heavy that I'd worry about the strap digging into me or breaking by the end of the night... especially if you lose weight before the day and it's a bit bigger than you'd anticipated.
Alvina Valenta also makes another from Sp'05 that's a kind of combo of the two, someone I know wore it. I'll attach.

Karen, they both are gorgeous gowns. I also bought my dress from BR and had a great experience there Good luck in you search for a gown. I bought a EOM gown. #2 is my favorite, but I am bias.They both are gorgeous.
