I just dont' get it

I just dont' get it

So as most of you know my dad has been very ill. Well, he is currently on dialysis and awaiting a kidney. However, him and my mom are going through a swamp program for my mom to donate her kidney to someone to give to my dad.

Anyway, today their coordinators told them my dad may not be able to attend my wedding!!!!!! We will know more as the time progresses but this is just beyond devastating!!!

I'm really sorry that you have to go through all of this and can't imagine how hard it is for you. Your family is in my thoughts.

Thank you girls!!! I really, truly feel like eloping at this point.

I am hoping the coordinators will know more about this when he meets with them next week. The waiting period for this type of transplant is between 1-9 months once he passes his evaluation. I don't care about my wedding if this means by father extends his life, and the quality of his life to his fulfillment.

I am hoping and praying his surgery is this year, and will be present at my wedding. At this point, I want to hold off on booking anything until we know more in case we do a fast wedding so he can see me get married.

This sounds like the best plan. I hope everything goes smoothly for your dad and he gets well soon!

I'm so sorry you are going through this.

What if you buy wedding insurance and then postpone the wedding when you know he can be there? I think if you get the insurance first you won't loose your deposits.
