I just finished crying!!!--UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went this past weekend, to RK to just try my dress on for the first time and I did not like it!!! It was big on the top and it did nothing for me. I still have 3 more alterations left to do.

While on an endless hunt for a MOB Dress in another bridal store, I saw a girl trying on the most beautiful wedding gown....... It fit her perfect...and I loved the details.....

I am so worried, that I think, I hate my dress, when I tell my mom what I feel about my wedding gown, she just starts praying . I feel really, really, bad....No matter how much I look at it in the picture I have at home...I don't like it!!!!

Do any of you girls have doubts of your dresses? I was even thinking of getting a different dress, but I have no time, and the money has been paid down at RK.

Thanks for listening

I've been feeling like that this past week. I keep looking at my pictures and my dress seems so plain. It's not that plain in person, but I'm stressed that it won't photograph well. I've loved my dress from the first time I tried it on (I looked around for a while and then went back to get it) but now I'm having doubts. I'm hoping that I'll snap out of it.

ETS: can you post a pic?

yes, i felt like that up until my last fitting and then on my wedding day i felt like a princess....but if it is going to bother you, then change it....my veil bothered me all day and i wished i had changed it!

FH is always lurking on the LIW boards...and I really don't want him to see.......all, I can say is it is a maggie Sottero gown.

When, I first went to just check to see if it was the right size and color I liked it, but after..trying it on for the first time, I did not leave the bldg too happy. I hope I snap out of this ...as well..... My next appt. that starts alterations..begins in July. So, now I have to wait.......

nferrandi your dress is not plain. I have the same dress maybe just made by someone else and you look amazing in your dress.

I love my dress but I had to try it on in ivory but ordered it in white so I just hope I like it when it comes in white.

Good Luck. I think fit makes a huge difference, hopefully those alterations will make all the difference for you to love it again.

I have 3 months left...and I already deposited $500.00 at RK already...I kind of think, I am stuck.

I am now taking my time to pick the veil and the tiara...I am not rushing... Back in november of 2003, people from my job scared me and told me that the wedding dress takes 6 months to be ordered, and that i am to hurry. I got so scared, and ordered my dress that same weekend. I wish, I did not listen!!!!!!

Thank you so much! I know that I do love the dress, I've just been very moody with everything wedding related. Ever since my sister was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago, I've been in a really off mood.

I got my dress in Kleinfelds and was told it was made for them, I'm not sure by who. I actually may alter the neckling a little by making it dip in the center a bit. The dress is in ivory, I felt like I looked too washed out in the white with my pale skin and dark hair.

Nferrand......You will look gorgeous! I thought you looked stunning in your pictures. You were my inspiration for my dress. I saw that and said oh I wish I could have a dress that looks like that.
Now if I could just get as skinny as you

I'm going to make you my new best friend! You're making me feel so much better about the dress. I found a great hairstyle that would go perfect with the dress. I pulled it out of a magazine, I'll see if I can get someone to scan it for me and I'll FM it to you. It's totally Audrey Hepburn!

I dont think they are going to give your money back, but I think you will look beautyfull. If you think the dress is plain just get a gourgeus tiara and some fancy jewelry. remember that there in no such thing as ugly bride. On THE day you will be the most beautyfull woman alive

Re: I just finished crying!!!

I second wedding2004! You could totally dress it up with your accessories. Don't panic just yet. Worst case scenario, you can buy a dress off the rack or at a trunk show if you need a replacement at the last minute.

Which Maggie is it?

I think you should sleep on it a few days and not compare to anyone else and think about why you loved it when you bought it.
If you still truly hate it then maybe you need to suck up the $500 and see about finding another dress.
The last thing you want to do is not be happy with how you look on your wedding day.
