I just thought of mini fruit baskets filled with 1 apple, 1 orange, and 1 peach. The basket will have a ribbon around it with our names and wedding date on it.
What do you think?

It sounds really nice - if someone else is putting it together. That's a lot of produce. However, it is something that as a guest I'd love to receive.

that's actually a really good point - i think the idea is cute....but i personally put my favors together myself the week before the wedding....and it was a huge mistake to wait so long to do it! There are so many last minute things that need to be done that putting favors together really gets in the way.... it's a cute idea though.....if you can find a place to do it for you!

Oh, I was planning on getting the baskets and putting the ribbon on myself. But I think I can ramble up some people to fill the baskets early in the morning on the wedding day and deliver them, do you think?

I know my hall requested the favors be there a day or two before the wedding.....they might make an exception if you're doing something perishible like fruit. and it might be a way to get people involved in your wedding.

Why dont you do 2 pears...and the tag on the basket can say something like a perfect pair...Jane and Mike.

I think it's a FANTASTIC idea!!!! Fruit will not spoil in a day....You could actually do it 2 days before safely...

That's SOO cute.
Just a question, are peaches in Season in April? You might need to check on an alternate fruit.
If you do apple, pear and orange, it might be easier since they are less perishable -- tougher skins.
