I just got back from closing and

the title closer put her fee on the paperwork, we thought we were goign to tip her, but she charged a fee and put it on the title fee sheet.

And the best part, she wa an idiot, and was 45 mintues too late. She also proceeded to talk on her cell phone extremely loud, setting up another appt, while my lawyer was reading the paperwork to my DH and I. She was incompetant!!!!

But it was a construction mortgage, so it was really just a formality, and the builder gets paid some money.

Goes we just finalized our Construction loan last week. All I can say is make sure it is done on time, we had a 9 month construction loan how long is yours?
Finalized meant went into the permenant loan and what a pain in the neck!

We have a year one, but as of right now, they have the entire outside finished, and the plumbing and 1/2 the electrical done. They started before we even went to closing, so the house should be done before a year from today.

They started 4 months before we went to closing and when we just went for our permanant finace because the construction loan was over....we had so many promblems because the house is not finished

Michelle...i know the woman was an idiot...but I would much rather a fee be charged than me having to tip someone...

Her fee was higher then what my lawyer saod to tip. In that case I would ahve preferred the tip. She charged 125, for being 45 minutes late, and then was a moron to boot, I wouldn't have given her a tip though, since she was a moron.

StayandJohn - it was Muro. My lawyer was on the phone with them for over an hour trying to ge them to understand the trasaction, since it was a construction to permanent loan, they just couldn't get it.
