I Just Got Bad News

As some of you may know I'm a contractor at a financial company.

I just found out my contract will not be extended after 12/31. So I will not have a job after the wedding unless I can score something within the next few weeks in this tough job market.

I'm soo sad because I definitely have enjoyed this job and the people I worked with here and the enviornment. My boss is amazing and has already put out feelers to see if there is anything here or outside this company for me.

It's still extremely stressful

Oh yucky.

My best advice...go to a head hunter or staffing agency. Hopefully they can get you working some temp stuff until the market picks back up.

i'm so sorry to hear this. luckily, it's not before the wedding. & hopefully, for after the holidays your chances of getting a job may increase as most companies are able to tap into new budgets *fingers crossed*

I'm sorry! I know you were hoping to be extended. I'm sure you will find a job since it sounds like you are on great terms with your boss. He should be able to help you network. Good luck!

I'm so sorry to hear that..stay postive! keep your head up! and remember things happen for a reason..my dad just lost his job recently and my dh lost his job 2 months before the wedding..fortunately it worked out to be the best for both of them
