I just got my E-ring !!!!!!! YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My FH is such a sweetheart, he's sleeping now, so I crept in to write this post, as I'm wearing my new beautiful E-ring !!!!!!!!!!!

1st of all, we've been planning this wedding since May for next May/03, and I was so frustrated that he hadn't presented me with a ring yet, and made it totally official. So all the stress, finally I said forget it, I'll get it when I get it.

So tonight, he announces that he wants to go out for dinner (mind you, he let our 5 year anniversary pass 2 weeks ago, and didn't give it up)
So I'm like, OK, is he playing games w/me again?

I get home, and to make a very long story short, he has rose petals, and candles all over the entire apartment. He was so cute, pretending to be the Maitre'd of a restaurant, and me as the guest of honor. He even gave me an invitation he made out on the computer, that entitled me to 'Fine Dining', Massage, Whirlpool Spa, and Moonlit Stroll' I have until Sunday to redeem them. I redeemed the Fine Dining tonight b/c he had a Candlelight dinner all prepared, I redeemed the Whirlpool Spa b/c he drew me a bubble bath full of rose petals.

When all was said and done, he asked me for a dance, and played slow music, he gave me a fake present, then as he was laughing, he exposed my ring, which was taped underneath my Champagne glass !!!! He then got on one knee, and officially proposed in FRENCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I could do was cry, I even forgot to say yes, until he reminded me I didn't give him an answer. LOL !!!!!!!!
I am so in love, all over again.

That's so beautiful! I'm so happy for you! What a romantic!! Tell him good job!! And also that this sort of thing is not to stop after the wedding!! lol!!

I hope he NEVER stops being romantic. I was so happy !!!!!!!! I had no idea how he was going to do it, it was so sweet, b/c he doesn't even speak french, but I do, and he practiced so hard just for me

I'm already awake, b/c the excitement didn't let me sleep for more than 4 hours !!!!!!
I can't stop looking at my ring !!!!!

I am so mad I left the batteries to my digital camera at my sister's house, but I'll go over there and get it today so I can take a pic for you !!!!!

It is a 1 carat marquise, set on a platinum band w/2 baguettes and a small princess cut diamond on each side.

It is so pretty and sparkly !!!!!

HappyBride, I have tried my best to be patient, sometimes it was hard and I would nag him, but the payoff is oh, sooooo good !!!!!

Jenn, it is a GREAT feeling, I finally went to sleep around 3 am, after I posted last night, and woke up this morning at 7am !!!!!
LOL, all I did was dream about the ring !!!!!!

I know you must be busting and calling the whole world and telling them I can't wait to see it. Be careful when you are driving to make sure to keep your eye on the road....I hear there is a new disease going around that only engaged women get......its called can't stop staring on new e-ring symdrome If you come to Bklyn make sure you stop by so I can see it in person....PS was it a good manicure week??? Tell Len I said he done good.

I got home a little while ago, from showing some of my friends the E-ring. They all loved it !!!!!

I was talking to my 'Fiancee' LOL, and now he tells me my 2 sisters, and brother were in on it the entire time !!!!!!! I can't believe how the kept a secret !!!!!
He also asked my father for my hand since our anniversary weekend, I didn't know he was going to do this, I was sooooo happy, and he said my Father was very touched and extremely happy !!!!!!

I'm still on such a high,
and yes, I definitely have that disease Shamma's talking about !!!!!

I just can't stop staring. We went out to dinner last night to celebrate, and even Len couldn't stop staring at it. He kept holding my hand during dinner, staring at it. I think we both have the disease LOL !!!!

I know the feeling, when DH proposed I coundt wait to show it off. I still love to stare at it, now with my wedding band it makes it harder.
