I just got the most amazing quote

for flowers!

I was referred to Linden Florist by a former bride (I've seen her pictures) from LIweddings. OMG! Less than $500 for all my flowers??!!

I am having a small wedding, so I only needed 1 bo-k for me (with a minimum of 30 roses), 2 MOH bo-k's, 3 boutonniers, 2 corsages and 7 centerpieces.

All flowers will be fall colored roses with the exception of the centerpieces which will be a rose mix with other fall colored flowers.

The lowest price I have been quoted to date was $750 + delivery charge.

I am definitely booking Linden Florist. I just need them to be beautiful for 1 day - for the pictures. There's no need to spend a thousand or 2 or more on something that will be dead in 2 days. IMO

And like I said, I saw some photos of a bride from this site who got married a few months ago and used Linden, her flowers were gorgeous!

Yeah I also talked to 2 brides on LIW who used Linden. I saw one of the brides pictures. Ironically, the woman there took out the thank you card of the bride on LIW. They were lovely.

But other than the price which was wonderful and the quality I loved that Linden was a family operation. I don't know to explain it but I felt it was a return to old values that have long gone by in our generation.

I agree with you about the family owned business thing. I would always prefer to support 'the little guy' over a chain or a large corporation. I also think that florist will give us more personal attention. They're getting lots of business on referrals alone (they're not a vendor on here), that speaks volumes!
