My mom just called me, she just got home from a bridal shower. There was a girl there that I know (I actually knew the whole family) A while ago my mom had heard that a friend of this brides daughter has passed away. 18 years old, leiukema.
Tonight my mom put the pieces together, when the brides daughter's friend showed up and this girl that I knew it was her brother that passed away.
Her brother 18 years old passed away right before holidays of Leiukema
I am in shock. I just couldnt believe it. I havent seen the brother in a long time, but to hear he passed away just shocked me.

Thanks. I am just trying to absorb this. I havent really seen this boy in 5 years, though I have seen his sister every once in a while but its the usual hi how are you thing (in the neighborhood type of thing)
And even though I havent seen him in 5 years, that is just a horrible thing to hear.

My mom said when she was talking to Liz she was still very deeply upset. Her sister is getting married this year in September and she is getting married in May 2004. When they first found out her brother was sick, the sister who is getting married this year had to push her wedding back. It was originally set for February.
I just keep talking to myself figuring if i keep saying it maybe I'll believe it.
I just cant believe it.

I am so sorry to hear that. My best friend was killed in a car accident 8 years ago this month. I had bumped into an old high school friend in the bank and had told her what had happend. She had heard through the grapevine but when I asked how her how her twin brother was, she replied, 'OH Jen, you didn't hear? He was murdered while he was in the marines.' We shared a few tears in the bank. A moment I will never forget, people I will never forget. Just had to share....
thats so sad...its always a little harder when the person is young...
we just had a student die from complications from luekemia (16) and it still brings a lump to my throat when I think about it (although I did not know her)
