I just had an awkward moment

I just had an awkward moment

I was weighing my whole invitation on the postage meter to see how much it was, and the stupid machine was off and of course I don't know how to work it and I whispered 'how do you turn this damn thing on?',

... so the receptionist heard me and came over to help and she said 'is that it? is that your inviation?'

Sheesh, its in a plain envelope!! how did she know?!! I said yes and she asked to see it, and the other receptionist came over and looked too...

BUT...they are not invited ... oops!!

I am only inviting my bosses.

I am struggling with that too! I want to invite some people but some people I would have to invite. So at this juncture I invite no one.

Ohhhh that's embarrassing. I'd be kicking myself too.

If they question it, just explain to them that you wish you could have invited everyone but with the cost of weddings.....and go from there.

I do not think anyone with an ounch of cooth (sp) would ask 'am I invited to your wedding'....do not worry about it, you have NOTHING to be embarassed about !!!

I wouldn't worry about it. Whenever there is a wedding in my office, people never really expect to be invited. Most everyone knows in my office that only my department is invited (which is small), but yet others still ask about it... they're just curious and all. Wouldn't you be?
