I was originally in love with CLM and still am but havent looked at it yet..now i dont know if i even will because FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves and LM (according to quotes ive seen) is a good amount cheaper..so i feel like i shouldnt even look u know

i want to show FH first..but hes being a pain..hes just like 'if u like it, ill like it just book it' which is nice and all but i dont want to book it if he hasnt seen it argh haha..harry that i met there invited us to see it on saturday right before a wedding to see how everything is set up..and it turns out FH's friend is having his bday party that day at 4 (i guess its an all night thing) but i dont see why we cant go there, leave and come back or something..oh well i think i might just take his mom LOL

my FH was the SAME WAY!!! like when we looked at fox hollow he said that to me & then 10 minutes later he was like 'well i dont like the dance floor and i dont like this and that' so then i yelled at him and told him to never say 'if you like it then book it' b/c he obviously wasnt happy with it lol

HAHAHA yeah!

one thing i DO suggest - is bring someone who is not you or your FH or parents... i brought my best friend to look at a hall with me and little things i was picking out that i didnt like (like the color of the carpet and the ceiling pattern) she slapped some reality in me and was like 'umm yeah no one is going to notice that' so it was nice to have someone else there with me who was not the bride, groom or parents... but yeah DEF bring your FH before making final decisions!!!

i found myself being SOOOOO picky over the littlest things and then when i brought my best friend with me she helped me realize that some things i obssess over arent a huge deal in the long run

just a suggestion!

Re: I just looked at some reception halls!

That's Awsome & Larkfields is amazing,we've been to weddings everywhere (including some heavy hitters like The Plaza (a few yrs back), Oheaka,Country Clubs etc ) and the best service I ever recieved as a GUEST at a wedding was Larkfield Manor

THere are 2 reasons we didn't consider having our wedding there, :

1. my cousin had his wedding there
2. That's where the meals between wake services for my Best Friends's father was ,( we love & miss Big Dom )

When I was at my cousin's wedding, the service was unreal. I think we had our own waiter for our table. He was amazing!! I requested a certain champagne, and he brought me a fresh glass on to the dance floor, it was like he knew when we finished our drinks. He brought FH his martini too.

I 'm an awful eater seriouslly Children eat better and the chef was able to make me excatly what I requested that night, love Larkfield!!

They are always going to tell you that others are inquiring...You should still definitely check out CLM and tell them the price quote you got from LM. They will definitely work with you, but once you go there, you will know which place is 'THE ONE!!' Good Luck and keep us posted

Re: I just looked at some reception halls!

perfectpair , thanks for your info! and they told me that every table does get their own waiter (how awesome is that!?!)

i was quoted at $78 for a friday night in august..and i heard CLM was quoted as being $90...i doubt they would be willing to go down that much right? thats why im debating even going there cause i dont want to go and not be able to afford it then ill feel like im settling somewhere else u know?

Re: I just looked at some reception halls!

CLM is awsome too!! I went to my MOH's sister's Sweet 16 there in Jan, seriouslly it was Long Islands' Super Sweet 16, her family really out did themselfs. CLM Did an amazing job, & I thought it might have been prefrential treatment, But I have yet to read anything negative about them.

** I'm biased, since we're having my Bridal Shower there
