i just need to get this off my chest (long BM vent)
i may or may not delete this message later, but for now i just need to vent..
95% of my bridal party were my college roomates, with that said, i also havent seen them 24/7 since 2004 like we used to.
we annually have a thanksgiving dinner at someones house (we started it in college the week before the actual holiday) and im glad to say we kept this up.
other than that, we only all gtg for birthdays and maybe a summer BBQ, maybe.
2 of us are in grad. school (myself and another who is a full time teacher)
another pulls 2 jobs 6-7 days a week.
one works a 9-5 job
one works in an after school program.
because its hard to see eachother i do cherish the time we do meet up, but it is as you can see our schedules, and jobs to even plan to see eachother.
this year for my birthday i was extreamly bummed. i was sick of Manhattan, and im not in to clubbing (since FH cant drink, its not fair for him to see everyone else drink around him)
All i wanted to do was go bowling, and wanted to do it at the bolwing out in long island.. all the girls were not thrilled bc of the distance thought I was being unfair, and only 2 girls or 4 showed up.
one of the 2 that did not come, said it was unfair of me and felt i was trying to prevent her from coming (she lives in the Bronx) that is not the case and we talked about this... and i explained to her that i did not want to go to the city. (mind you she has a car and i dont)
then she wanted to take me out to dinner.
the other girl that did not come went along with someone else, not the origional complainer.
she did not want to go to dinner bc she was having 'boy' problems and was depressed (we rescheduled dinner twice, once for her)
*sorry its so long and i applud you if you read this much so far*
so fast foward to this weekend, when i get an email about brunch in NYC on sunday the 20th.
myself and another can not go, since sun is my only day off... i see FH then and then only. (I'm sorry but he gets time always) and the 19th im seeing the baseball game...
we get an email back from the one who complained and never showed up, that she feels that we can take time out of our busy schedule to see eachother if it meant so much to us in the first place.... (mind you she did not show bc of a BOY, not bc of already planned plans)
she then cont to tell us that even if its our only day off she feels we shoudl still go out, and push aside some proiorites once in a while... and tickets, or movies, or plans.. that, THAT should not be an excuse... (not an excuse.. if im at a baseball game that will cost me 80$ i WILL GO!)
**and priorities... so i shouldnt see FH to see everyone on the one day i am off and have tiem to sleep (when i see FH we lay in bed all day<-- we are lazy bums)
i dont kno... i dont get it...
this is all coming from someone that couldnt see us bc she was having a 'bad break up'
sorry again for so long!!!
