I JUST SAVED BIG $$ on my Grocery Bill

I JUST SAVED BIG $$ on my Grocery Bill

I just went to Waldbaums and purchased 4 of those offers.

**Pampers brand Diapers-JUMBO PACK**
**2 for $14.99 and one free case of wipes.**

They are normally $10.99 each.
Wipes are $3.99

So Savings of $11 per offer = $44

PLUS, I reached my BabyClub points of 200, and got $20 cash back.

THEN I remembered I had coupons that I didnt use, so I went to customer service and they gave me $5 cash for my coupons.

A $105 shopping.
Costed me $60. and I got $25 cash just for being a shopper with coupons =)

A few days ago, I had a $113 bill, gave my coupons and it costed me $67 !
Lots of free stuff, and great $3 items for like 59cents.

I said that to John last nite, I can shop for people and save them TONS and take half of the savings and they STILL make out well...

So how do I create a business card for this???

Anna do you buy things that are on sale (with coupons of course ) even if you don't need them at that particular time?

Jennbaby, SILLY QUESTION to ask Anna !!!!!!!!!!!!!
STOCK UP is my MIDDLE NAME !!!!!

Do I need 10 packs of newborn diapers right now ??? NOPE, not yet, but you bet your tushie Im stocking up when I can.
I have all sizes in diapers that Im going to need.

I get EVERYTHING on sale plus coupons so I ALWAYS have a pantry FULL of everything when I have company.

Welchs and Ocean Spray Juices (retail for about $3) - I never pay more than 75cents - $1 per bottle).
Bounty paper towels-50cents per roll is my price. period Right now they are 8 rolls, Two for $11. DOesnt meet my price. Wont buy em (besides the fact that I have enough for a year! )
ANYTHING non-perishable, that I will use, I will stock up on...
Everything from toothbrushes, toothpaste, tomtaoes, cake and brownie mixes, soaps, detergents, deodorants, canned goods, sponges, brillo, tons of cleaning products. and I have NOTHING of store brand. I pay SO LITTLE for brand name everything. I get a natural high!! LOL.
I keep saying Im going to make a corner in my pantry of my FREE stuff (after coupons and sales, lots of stuff comes out free )

It is great to save $$$ no matter how you do it...I don't see how saving money on name brands is better than saving the same $$$ by buying the store brand instead.

I never pay $3 and up for Ocean Spray and Welch's juices b/c I just refuse to buy 'em when the store brand is 99 cents or less for a larger bottle, and tastes the same!

If you're saving money, it really doesn't matter how. JMO. If there's a product like Pampers that's on super great sale, than that's a definite bonus buy, and I do the same when it comes to stocking up! DH thinks I'm insane, but I have a very large pantry closet AND some extra pantry space in the garage and ALL the shelves are packed FULL of paper products and non-perishables

Re: I JUST SAVED BIG $$ on my Grocery Bill

Although I DONT agree with paying triple for something BECAUSE Its name brand. I do have to agree with 'you get what you pay for' in MANY cases. Ive tasted MANY products that are store brand, and they just dont have the same taste.
Some examples
Drakes (yodels, etc) are NOT the same as Miss Suzys, that 99cent brand. Not even close.
Same for jellies and peanut butters. Cereals too.

Some things ARE very close, it really depends.

I grew up drinking OceanSpray Cranberry juice, and no others taste the same to me.
I hate apple juice, I have that in stock for when kids come over.
Although I DO buy store brand frozen veggies, I TOTALLY notice a difference when its BirdsEye. and I stock up when I can on the good stuff. I do notice the difference with SOME canned goods too.
Less expensive shampoos Vs $4 ones, HUGE difference, but again, I wait for my sales

Graham Crackers - Nabisco or Keebler. I had to force myself to finish an Americas Choice box once. I couldnt beleive the difference.
Paper Towels - I can buy a no name at the dollar store, or pay 50cents for Bounty. HUGE difference. The dollar store ones 'melt in your hands ' Bounty is Bounty, and Im paying half the price.
Same goes for clothing.

Funny tangent, but I see it when we shop for eachother for Xmas (Secret Santas) for $50-$75 depending on our limits, some of us can get 6 or 7 Banana Republic or Gap or DKNY, RL, etc, items, and some of us will get one item for that same amount. and getting something from G&G just wouldnt be the same
Its a matter of if someone wants to make the effort to find something on sale, or just pay top dollar and get out of the store (That was once SOOO my hubby but Ive changed him quite a bit but not totally just yet )

I learned the 'get what you pay for' rule with diapers too. For newborn till maybe 8-9m, BRU brand was fine. But now that he's older, we buy Pampers, they last a bit longer, if lets say we're on the road and had to wait a little longer to change him, they RARELY leak, and they are MUCH stronger. But I still use both (and Huggies too) and usually stick to the BRU brand when Im home.

Anna, you kill me!!! You're my hero!!! Joe thinks I'm insane with the coupons and trying to stock up -- we have no room, so sometimes the toilet paper or paper towels sit in my trunk (BTW, the crock pot is gone, I dumped it at my sister's for the garage sale she never had )!!!! I love getting a bargain in the supermarket, but you my dear friend, are the QUEEN!!! I need to come shopping with you and learn some more tips!!!!!

Did you need a coupon for the Pampers, or is the sale still going on with the Waldbaum's card?
