on the topic: my maid of honor is having a bustle in her dress. I though it was a nice way of having her stand out from the rest of my BMs. If she really would like to have one and you dont mind, maybe she could just have her dress with a bustle.

i thought of that too but she already has the black bow around the waist to distinguish her from the rest. i think we'll keep it uniform in the back..thanks for the advice though!!

i put a pick of the dress..she has the black bow and everyone else has a solid color to match the color of their dress

sometimes MOHs need to be put in their place....sorry, but it's true. Unless she misunderstood, then you should feel bad.....

BM trains/bustles not a good idea...I was my cousin's MOH and she told me to keep the train to stand out....but the seemstress didn't really do a good job on my bustle so the train kept falling down all night....i kept tripping...i hated it. When my sister got married she asked me if I wanted to keep it....I told her no....if she wants me to stand out then give me a different bouquet.

Aw, don't worry about it. I'm sure she understands, things are just a lil hectic for you right now. Everything will be ok. She'll see that it's your day and she's gotta go with what you ask her, when it's her wedding she can do what she wants.

When you kind of gather up the train on a dress and put hooks on the back of the dress so that the train doesn't drag on the floor. It looks like this:

My mom had a little train on her dress, and it was so pretty . . . that morning. By the end of the church, seventy people had stepped on it, and the bustle wasn't working right. She still looked amazing, but I think she may skip the train for my sister's wedding. Your MOH will probably thank you, with all the running around she has to do that day, a bustle may be in the way. (By the way, not to hijack, but hey sis, if you read this, when are you going to post?? )

I've seen wedding where the MOH's dress is a little different so she stands out, something a little different from the rest of the girls

i spoke to her and she forgives me. she thought i had said it didn't matter if she kept it or not so although i know she still wants it she's going to get it hemmed..i think she'll be more comfortable in the end. thanks all
