she lives in Maryland, and got married this past July.
We have not spoken in well over 2 years, but found each other on Facebook.
She told me that her husband was a nervous wreck about being the center of attention, so he drank before the church, then kept drinking, and was completely PLASTERED @ the wedding!
Like, to the point that VENDORS were mad at him!
Can you imagine??!!

I went to a wedding where the BRIDE did that! She chugged a bottle of tequila bc of 'nerves.'
The wedding video should be on YouTube. When they announced the couple at the start of the reception, the bride was slumped over, her DH had to slap her in the face to wake her up, and then he pretty much carried her into the wedding.
PS---They were divorced a year later.

Holy crap!
FH actually forbade me to drink more than a glass of champagne, and said that he is not even gonna drink that. I dont know if that is going to work, my half is Russian, but at least we have a plan for that

my bil left his wedding to go up to his hotel room and puke for awhile....then came back and was good to go for the rest of the night...lol my sister was pissed but at least he wasn't done for the night

Oh jeez - I can't even imagine that - I would kill FH! FH and I have talked about this...serious drinking at the afterparty only! A happy buzz throughout the wedding is not a problem though...
I already know one of the GM is going to be a mess...ugh

I know someone who's FH did shots with his GM before the wedding. He THREW UP!... on the ALTAR AT CHURCH!!!!!!!! They divorced shortly thereafter lol.

Yikes that is NOT cool.
I fully expect FH to drink...however, he knows how to hold his liquor, for the most part
But seriously, I think liquor combined with nerves brings on the drunkness a looottt quicker
