I am already freaking out about getting a job. I really hope to land a spot in my district in January. I don't even remember the last time I wanted something so bad.

i know a lot of people who got jobs while student teaching covering for maternity leaves. they were then offered permanent positions at the end of it. just make sure your district knows you're up for all that stuff (long term subbing, etc) and be REALLY friendly with the department heads. good luck - i know how you feel!

Yup, I have been there also. It may seem very stressful now, but you will get through it
I would bring my resume to every school in the district. But don't just send it, personally bring it to them. Dress appropriately and be extremely nice to the secretaries. Our secretaries tell us who seemed nice and looked like they would do a good job, and the principal would rather call them to be a sub, than someone who just sent it in and we never met.
As Betani said, there are always maternity coverage positions available, so you will find something. Good Luck!
