I just want to brag a little for a friend...

A teacher I work with, who I am PROUD to call my friend, is being featured as Long Island's Educator of the Week starting tomorrow on WLNY TV 55 (it's channel 10 on my cable system).

She teaches 7 'special needs' boys who are kindergarten through 2nd grade aged, and does so with the most AMAZING sense of humor, patience and kindness that I've ever seen anyone have. She mainstreams her boys into my class once a week for art activities and stories, and also for special holiday celebrations, and last year I even mainstreamed one of her boys full time in order to prepare him to go into a 'regular' first grade class.

I learn a lot from her, and I'm so very proud of her and this wonderful honor she received.

If you're channel surfing and want to see one of the most genuinely wonderful people I know, she'll be on TV 55 for a week starting tomorrow at these times:
