I just won a trip???!!!???!!!

I'm afraid it might be a scam, but I dont think so. I filled out a card for a free trip at the Jericho Terrace showcase and the guy called me and told me I won second, but not the grand prize.. so all I have to pay for is the airfare. He said it is completely all inclusive.. food, drinks, sports etc..

What do you think?

Royal Prestidge - Me too!!!!!! Oh, how upsetting... I actually thought I won. They gave me three destination choices. Bahamas, Mexico or Dominican Republic for two nights all inclusive and all you have to pay for is airfare. WHen the woman called, she said, 'Don't worry- this is not a scam. All you have to do is come down on a Saturday and listen to some lecture or something, and you don't have to buy a thing. As a matter of fact, leave you pocket book home....' So I really thought it was real... so it's definately a scam????? I was so excited...

I also got a phone call before I got married that I did also u have to buy stuff from them and then they give u a certificate to go to any certain places!! Don't get your hopes up!! Not worth it!! It happend right after I came back from a showcase!

Hmmm

The guys name was Steve. He said there is no timeshare lectures and I dont have to buy anything. He said after 9-11 the travel industry was suffering and the hotels give him rooms in hopes that we will come back and tell our friends.

If you really do get a trip is it really a scam? Did any of you ever go? If not how do you know?

The guy said about 50% of the people who are offered a trip take it.

I also won a trip from Royal Prestige and a $500 gift certificate to a website(it is the worst stuff) ..We went to their 'presentation' tonight, it was like 2 hours and the pots were about $2000.

I think everyone wins the free trip at least once--I won a free trip and something else for free $500 toward merchandise or something--both scams--they make you sit in a room and you must go with your FI and listen to a lecture about their merchandise. They they try and get you to buy it. My FI is also one that falls for all these scams--we were in Myrtle in Sept and we went to Time Share lectures we got free tickets to a show and $80 but it wasn't worth my time. I wouldn't even bother no matter how good it sounds--they lure you in with the trip & hope you spend hundreds of dollars.

I was at a bridal showcase where I refused to fill out a raffle form. I really pissed off the lady at the check in counter. I just said, 'I don't do free raffles.' I did fill out a registration form for the showcase, so I may get calls!!

I won a trip. Booked the showcase but missed and always wondered if it was a scam. I am so glad I missed the appt. I just hate wasting time...

I actually one a trip as well when I went to the Meadow club for a showcase. It is very ligit and we have all the info. now. It wouldn't hurt to just check it out.
