but everytime it seems to go down by a few....then it's right back up again! we have most of the big things booked i am running out of places to cut corners now! i feel guilty bc this $ should really be going towards my loans and not our wedding. The major big thing we have left is our HM and we are going to Italy which is $$$. But that is more important to us then most other things (besides the ceremony) so i couldnt imagine cutting that out! oh well....just venting.
we also still have flowers. any ideas of something less expensive? (besides candles, since our wedding is daytime with huge windows....it wouldnt take the right affect)

If you still want to try giving flowers a go I'd try calling Burton's. I got an excellent price from them, very budget friendly and I'm getting ALOT for my money. (And their customer service is great!)

try low cp's, roses are also one of the least expensive flowers, do rose petals and lots of candles. Did youbook a florist yet, if not try burtons or maybe buy from a wholesaler and DIY

Also a good way to cut corners is to buy your own vases. I went to A.C. Moore and bought 25 hurricane vases for like $3 each and then when I went to flower Michele she was able to take all the money in my budget for flowers. Good luck

thanks, i thought about the DIY for a minute....but i doubt i could swing it for a wedding. i know someone who does it, but i am really hesitant to ask her b/c i am afraid it will lead to extra wedding invites that i wasnt quite planning on, so i figured it's better not to mention it.

you know what, at the wholesale flower district for an extra fee they do the cp's for you...I saw brides when i went and they were given a wedding book with flowers to pick from, were even doing their Bok, and i saw the guy making arrangements. You might want to try that.

as far as your honeymoon, if you register at liberty travel and book with them, you can start a honeymoon registry. someone i know already has her honeymoon paid for and her wedding is in september. good luck!

Re: i keep trying to tweak my budget.....
Would you consider doing your own CPs? My sister ordered her flowers from growersbox. com and all of us helped arrange them in vases that she got on sale at AC Moore. No one knew they didn't come from a florist!
