but everytime it seems to go down by a few....then it's right back up again! we have most of the big things booked i am running out of places to cut corners now! i feel guilty bc this $ should really be going towards my loans and not our wedding. The major big thing we have left is our HM and we are going to Italy which is $$$. But that is more important to us then most other things (besides the ceremony) so i couldnt imagine cutting that out! oh well....just venting.
we also still have flowers. any ideas of something less expensive? (besides candles, since our wedding is daytime with huge windows....it wouldnt take the right affect)

Don't forget to make sure you are getting flowers that are in season. It will help cut down on the cost. The florist will know what's in season. Remember low CPs are less too.

FH's motto for the wedding (and everything else in life) is EVERYTHING ON THIS SAFARI IS TWICE AS MUCH AS EXPECTED (something like the- forgot what movie its from)
Flowers are a big expense, so like others said- cut back where you can. Invitations too.

If you want to cut back on flowers, eliminate the bouts. for the guys, church flowers (if you are having it in a church) and some unnecessary corsages (readers, aunts etc.) No one will notice...

what are flower candle rings? my RH is CLM too, you tried it out there? i have just been under the impression that it would be too bright there during the day ya know?
You can get them at Acmoor or any store like that ( i got mine at ac moore) its a simple plastic ring decorated with fake flowers...or you can make your own so it goes with your theme! here is my CP very very simple and it didnt look too small on their table

I would def. try to cut on flowers. I went to flowers by Burton and I got a better deal at other florists, so compare prices. You can do pretty low rose centerpieces, you're right about not having candles, it won't really show as well during the day. BM flowers can be a single flower and you a bouquet. That looks beautiful too. Especially those long lilies I think it is. YEa no one will notice the corsages, trust me

You can also try a local florist they are usually cheaper then the ones that do a lot of weddings..thats what we're going to look into and most of them do a lot of weddings so they have things you can look at. We might not even have flower centerpieces instead just centerpieces with floating candles and some rose petals, something that this might help your budget a lot!

Try to come up with something unique that cost less money, that people will appreciate. I am doing hanging plants on the table, the bottom will be wrapped in pink foil and ribbon. 7 dollars each at walmart and they are beautiful. Savings is over a thousand dollars
I am doing parasols instead of bouquets, one of my girls is allergic to flowers to it works. Savings 400$
I am purchases rose pedals on ebay along with my votive holders.
We are having it att a beautiful place on the water with plenty of flowers to look at, no need for us to go crazy.
I am doing a slipper basket candy buffet menus programs We are having our ceremony at the place so there is really no need for limos...
We did our invites ourselves with saved us a ton and we got so many compliments on them.
Photo and video by taylor studios totalling us 2k. We are doing our album ourselves.
I look at the important things, Me and my FH, the small stuff doesnt matter that much to me. Just as long as you have an awesome place, good people and great entertainment, everyone will be having a blast. I never left a wedding thinking...wow those were nice flowers lol Good luck. I just found out that if you use a travel agent or say Liberty Travel that you can put that on your registry so that instead of gifts you may not use they give your gift certicates towards your HM.!!!!! I love that idea
