Yes, I am doing CPs, I think those are more necessary than favors, but that is just me. Sometimes the restaurant can provide them.

Hold on, I'll post what I want to do...

I'm going to do bright flowers in a clear vase, lilies, sunflowers, colored roses.... hopefully not too much $$ and summery!

Leese posted this (I believe she sent to her FMIL), but this was my vision for E party CPs. I want to do tulips (very spring, and very inexpensive). I am going to buy glass bowls and ribbon at Michaels, and have a local florist fill them for me. Cheap and easy!!

Won't it be expensive to buy the flowers from a florist

Kathleen, Not as pretty, but you can always go the balloon route or sprinkle rose petals (silk) on the table and put votive candles.

clear vases from michaels or acmoore and the flower bunches from any florist, on per table.

Tulips shouldn't be bad, and glass vases shouldn't cost you more than $2 each at Michaels. Daisy or Gerbers should also be relatively inexpensive. If you want to risk it, you may even be able to get them at supermarket the day of.

I had small circular bowls that had glass beads at the bottom that anchored three red roses and had some green blades of grass to add more color and filled with water and glitter they were goregous!! we then scattered rose petals around them on the tables! And they were very inexpensive!! Roses are the least costly because they are so overproduced - expect in February they get costly b/c of Valentines Day. Sorry I dont have any pics! Oh and they came already assembled and the florist set up each table.

Hey Kathie Lee! I was just lurking on the '06 boards (you ladies have some great ideas BTW), and I saw your frantic post! You can definitely get glass vases at Michaels for really cheap - I just saw a couple of really cute ones the last time I was there for like $3 - $8 each! Then go to Price Club, or also Fairway in Plainview for the flowers. They have amazing roses. Jo's Mom did this for her shower and rehearsal dinner and her centerpieces truly looked amazing.

I am posting her shower centerpieces. I made sure to take one home because I loved them! They were really easy to make too - she got the hurricane glasses at Target!

Good luck and don't stress! I am sure they will come out great!
