but I am really having 2nd thoughts about reception hall.
I have already emailed a reception hall about my date.
What are chances of getting June 21, 2003?

Re: I know I posted this before
I think because its on a saturday night and in June it may be tough. I remember when I changed my date to May from August, May was on THE ONLY date left available besides Feb and Jan.
Why are you having second thoughts?

I'm sure your first choice is great .... but if your having second thoughts call up the reception halls you want right away. If they are open, which might be hard for a saturday in June, you could get a great deal. Also think about the money you may lose with the hall your at now.
Good luck

Wacky what are you looking for?? I know I went thru this with everything, too many choices always causes uncertainty. Maybe you should go for another visit and see what sold you on it the first time. See if its still there. Will you lose a lot if you change your mind at this stage??? Which hall does it for you??

Re: I know I posted this before
wacky is this the hall that is in garden city. Is it near the stuart manor LIRR station? if its the hall i am thinking of, its a lovely place. garden city is a very gorgous area and so rich in history.
what made you choose this hall in the first place? i think maybe your just nervous about your hall. We booked our hall in October and every once in a while i get the we should have looked at more halls, we should have waited a litlte longer, etc..but when i get like that i go to the website and i look at the rooms and my menu and since FI videotaped the place when we went looking i watch the video and i realize this wedding could be in the backyard of his mothers house, as long as our friends and family are with us that is all that matters. I then thank FI for being in my life and i realize we made a great choice about our hall and i cant wait for the big day

wacky-
I understand that you're having second thoughts on your reception location...and thats good that you've emailed to see if you have options. But if it winds up that no where else is available, please try to keep in mind that your wedding will be beautiful and special and wonderful, simply b/c it is your wedding. No matter where you have it, there will be some people who don't like one thing or another. But if they've given you good service thus far, you have read positive reviews from other brides and it will accomodate your party size, don't worry so much. We all (my self definitely included) get so wrapped up in making this one day perfect and so we second-guess ourselves. Sometimes I have to remind myself that it is only one day and regardless everything will be great and I will be married to my love and all of my friends and family will be there with me to celebrate. Hope this makes you feel a little better and maybe puts it in a different perspective?

Definitely start calling other halls. $400 is nothing to lose in the grand scheme of wedding planning. If booking another hall will give you peace of mind, definitely do it!

Wacky, I went through the same thing. I planned my wedding in a very short time compared to most and so my choices were limited. I second-guessed my recpetion choice many times over, but it was too late when I started looking again - nothing was available. I say try to find something you will LOVE, but if nothing else comes your way, then don't sweat it. I'm sure your current choice is beautiful and your guests will love it anyway!

Jen, I love the way you put things in prespective. I live in gray areas no black and white for me.
