I know, I'm a pain...

I know, I'm a pain...

Back to my concern earlier... I took another OPK a few minutes ago. It had a line there, but was not as dark or darker than the reference line. I know on the box it says it has to be, but I've been using the OPK's for 8 days, and this is the first time I see a line. It was there, just not as dark. Does this mean I could be ovulating soon? Would this line show up even if I wasn't ovulating? What do you think?

Sometimes you body changes, due to stress or age or other factors. Perhaps you are going to O late this month without your normal symptons. Are you sure you are not currently PG?
What is your coverline temp Melissa? Are you really taking your basal temp every morning at the same time?
Another thing. I have read from many people that OPKs can be very hard to read. Consider investing in a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor. You can even buy them on ebay. They are super easy to read and work much better than those sticks.

Hey michele31... I wish I was PG right now, but I did get my period and it was regular. Though my mom told me everytime she was PG, she didn't know because she got her period for a couple of months before she knew. It's funny that you mention that though, because I've been a little dizzy here and there, and a little nauseous, nothing drastic, but I was, and the week before I did get my period I was SO TIRED. Anyway, I wish I was PG, but I wish I would at least O already!!!

Melissa let me get this straight – you got a normal period last time around and now you are thinking you should be ovulating and a faint line came up. My guess is that you are going to ovulate within the next couple of days. And that is just based on the very little I know about this. What I do know for sure is that the monitor will be right on for you. Why don’t you do this – why don’t you kind of let this month go. Get on ebay and purchase a monitor. My friend got one for around $135 and it came in about 4 days. This month just have a few glasses of wine, relax, and try to have relations w. hubby regularly; try for right around now and the next few days when you think you might be getting ready to ovulate, and then next month start with the monitor.

If you go on fertilityfriend.com there is a whole charting system where you can keep track of your chart and when you have questions you can e-mail your chart to the charting experts and they get back to you that day with answers. It is supposedly very informative. Between that, the monitor and the TCOYF book you should be on your way.

None of us really understand our bodies enough. I mean look at my friend with a positive HPT and a negative blood test?! Everybody is different and actually you are probably doing things to TTC that a lot of us (not me included because I haven’t started at all) haven’t even tried yet. Baby dust to you – but take the pressure off yourself. I skipped my period once– on the pill no less – because I was anxiously waiting to hear about a part in a movie. You can screw yourself up with this kind of pressure. It’s like meeting the man of your dreams! You always find him when you aren’t looking! Get your hands on that monitor. I think you’ll see a huge difference (literally speaking!!) soon thereafter!
